Sending Original Art/ Film
If you wish to have your artwork captured or have film scanned (film includes negatives and transparencies, and can be original photographs or photographed art that you own the copyright to), visit our fine art and photography scanning page for details.
Sending Via CD/ DVD
This is the preferred method, especially if you have already matched color from your own computer and desktop printer. Because you are mailing a tangible disk, you may also include a print for us to match color to. We accept any size file via this method (the larger the original scan/mega-pixel capture, the better), on any disk media (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, etc.)
If you plan to or have done any manipulation to the file, we suggest you leave it in photoshop (.psd) format and use adjustment layers. This would be the smartest way to manipulate your files anyway. Never save your files as a .jpg, unless you like loosing quality everytime you save your work, and you feel like giving up some ability to edit the file later. Read our Adobe Photoshop Tutorials for more info.
Sending Via Email/ FTP
Large format printing and fine art reproduction often requires very large files for high quality output, and most e-mail servers (including ours) tend to limit file attachments to 10 MB or less. So, to provide more convenient service to our clients with high-speed connections (or a great deal of patience) we operate an FTP site where files of any size can be uploaded.
Be sure you use some form of compression. LZW or ZIP compressed TIFF files and Highest Quality JPEG files are the most commonly used. If you plan to or have done any manipulation to the file, we suggest you leave it in photoshop (.psd) format and use adjustment layers. This would be the smartest way to manipulate your files anyway.
Please contact us if you have any trouble sending us your files, or if you need help with this process. Also, be sure to e-mail, call, or fax us with instructions on how to output your job, and to let us know you are sending it. That way we'll be watching for it, can contact you if there are any problems, and we'll know what to do with your file once we receive it.
It is best to access our FTP server with a "REAL" FTP program such as WS_FTP, Cute FTP, Fetch or Interarchy as they support resuming interupted transfers and such in case the connection is lost.
If you have an FTP client program, the information for accessing our FTP site is as follows:
