Epson Professional Printing Workflow

File Preparation

This tutorial assumes that you are printing on an Epson Pro Stylus Printer (anything from a 1280 and 2200 to a 4000, 7600, or 9600) from Adobe Photoshop version 5.0 or later. We suggest you use version 7.1 or CS. Photoshop Elements works as well.

If you don't have Adobe Photoshop 5.0 or greater or Photoshop Elements, consider purchasing them. Professional digital imaging and high quality print output is best achieved with this program, and it is the software "lauchpad" we will be using in this tutorial.

If/once you have Adobe Photoshop installed on your computer, please (for your own sake) use the following tutorial to prepare your file in terms of color correction, exposure, contrast, file format, etc. Here are a few of the topics (the tutorial has many more) you should be familiar with in order to make a decent image for printing:
