Epson Professional Printing Workflow

Best Way to Trim Prints

Trimming can be so much work, and it can be tough to get a perfect cut. We don't struggle with that anymore, however, and here are our three secret ingredients:
  • We apply cutlines to the image if there is a border. This is discussed in a separate module - read about it.
  • We use a RotaTrim for fast, even cutting. Search for it on the web, they are wonderful!!!
  • I use a common sense trick of cutting the corners - such a simple idea! Why did it elude me for so long?!!!

A Rotatrim looks like this:

This is a 36" model, we also use a 24" model and a 50" one as well. You can also see the green cutting mats on the table. They are self healing and WONDERFULL!!! We purchased them at a fabric store.

"Cutting Corners" never made life easier!!:

Other Finishing Touches Are:

  • Applying Protective Sprays - There are many sprays you can use to enhance the image and improve its life.
  • How to Take Out the Curl - Prints off of roll paper are so economical, but what about that annoying curl? See how the D-Roller gets rid of it in seconds! I also offer an alternative method that isn't as instantaneous.
